WWE Reportedly Considered Rusev to Team with Page over Big Cass

Before pairing him with Big Cass, WWE reportedly had a different idea in mind for Ethan Page.

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), WWE originally wanted to reunite Page with Rusev, but since Rusev is working his way back from an injury, the decision was made to pivot to Cass.

Last week on Raw, Page and Lee attacked Chad Gable, Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio following a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship.

That led to a tag team bout on this week's episode of Raw, which saw Page and Cass defeat Gable and Lee.

Page and Rusev formed an alliance earlier this year and started teaming together in May, but Rusev has not been seen on WWE programming since July due to injury.

Fightful Select (h/t Bibon Sinha of WrestleZone.com) reported that Rusev suffered a neck injury that caused his arms to temporarily go numb during a July 27 match against Je'Von Evans.

After missing a few months of action, Rusev recently returned to wrestle a pair of matches during WWE's live event tour in Hawai'i this month, losing a singles bout to Joe Hendry and teaming with Page to lose to Gable and Mysterio.

While WWE chose to go with Page and Cass as a team for now, it is fair to wonder if Rusev might join them and make it a trio eventually since Page and Cass are feuding with three Superstars in Gable, Lee and Mysterio.

Reported Reason for Michin, B-Fab Winning Tag Titles

WWE reportedly had a specific rationale in mind when it made the decision to put the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on Michin and B-Fab last week.

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select (h/t Upton ), WWE wanted to "hot potato" the women's tag team titles in order to "stimulate" the division and "[drum] up a little bit more interest."

The Women's Tag Team Championships have changed hands twice during the month of October, first with Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley beating Fatal Influence on the Oct. 9 episode of SmackDown, followed by Michin and B-Fab taking the titles from Bliss and Paxley last week on SmackDown.

Michin and B-Fab both secured their first taste of championship gold in WWE with the victory, as they were previously utilized mostly as backup for Jade Cargill.

Cargill, Michin and B-Fab have been embroiled in a long-running rivalry with Charlotte Flair, Bliss and Paxley, so the title change adds another wrinkle to the feud as well.

Since the inception of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships in 2019, Michin and B-Fab are the 39th champions and the 29th different team to hold the titles.

It won't be a shock if some combination of Bliss, Paxley and Flair win the titles back in the near future in order to keep the storyline moving along, but for now, Michin and B-Fab are the team to beat in WWE.

Dralistico Reportedly Interested in Joining WWE

AEW star Dralistico reportedly has his sights set on WWE once his contract expires and he becomes a free agent.

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select (h/t Upton ), there are "rumblings" that Dralistico "wants to come over" to WWE in order to "travel and perform with his brother," Dragon Lee.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live (h/t Upton ) recently reported that AEW tacked injury time onto Dralistico's contract, meaning it now runs through December.

Dralistico began working with AEW in 2022, although he has primarily appeared on ROH rather than main shows such as Dynamite and Collision.

He has not worked an AEW-related show since June, though, leading to speculation about his future.

When PWInsider.com (h/t WrestlePurists ) reported this month that Lee signed a new, five-year contract with WWE, the whispers of Dralistico potentially making the jump grew even lounder.

WWE has become a potentially desirable landing spot for luchadores ever since the company's purchase of Mexican wrestling promotion AAA.

Dralistico would likely be given the opportunity to work in AAA, as well as for WWE's U.S.-based brands such as Raw, SmackDown and NXT, much like many of WWE's other top luchadores, including Lee, Penta, Rey Fenix and Rey Mysterio.
