Liverpool agree huge fee with PSG for France winger Bradley Barcola

Barcola is poised to join Liverpool in a transfer worth at least £100m

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Bradley Barcola .

The Champions League winners have accepted an approach which will guarantee them just over £100m and, including add-ons, could rise to £120m.

The deal is not done yet but Liverpool reached a breakthrough in negotiations after coveting the France winger all summer.

Barcola is poised to become the second most expensive player in Liverpool's history, after Alexander Isak joined last summer for £125m .

However, his price will be significantly lower than the £145m which PSG had been asking for, with Liverpool getting their way in talks.

Barcola's arrival comes as part of Liverpool's long search for a successor to Mohamed Salah , who left on a free transfer and subsequently joined Trabzonspor , though the Frenchman has played more on the left flank.

They had submitted a €100m offer for Yan Diomande , but the Ivory Coast winger also became a target for Paris Saint-Germain , only to overlook both clubs and join Real Madrid instead.

Liverpool also made offers of first £50m and £60m for Yankuba Minteh of Brighton and had also considered Crystal Palace 's Ismaila Sarr .

Barcola is likely to become Liverpool's third summer signing after Jeremy Jacquet , whose move from Rennes was arranged in January, and Victor Munoz , a winger head coach Andoni Iraola wanted.

PSG have already replaced Barcola after bringing in three forwards this summer, in World Cup winner Ferran Torres , Magnes Akliouche and Mika Godts .

Barcola, who only had two years left on his contract at Parc des Princes, had also attracted interest from Arsenal .
