New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had one word to describe his offensive line after a big victory over the Buffalo Bills last week.

It's a resilient unit that has struggled at times through the first four games of the season. They are down to their third option at right guard due to injuries, and right tackle Morgan Moses has been banged up. Still, the unit held off the Bills for the team's best offensive performance of the season.

With extra time, quarterback Drake Maye got comfortable and was more deliberate with his decision-making on the field. He outdueled Bills quarterback Josh Allen by going 22-of-37 passing for 269 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, along with eight rushes for 54 yards on the ground.

The Patriots ran 76 total offensive snaps, which was their highest total in a single game this season. Much of their success was due to the improvements along the offensive line.

"Fighters," McDaniels responded, when describing the offensive line, via Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller.

The Patriots will have their work cut out in maintaining that mentality for Sunday's clash with star edge rusher Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders' defense.

Crosby is a game-wrecker capable of creating havoc in the Patriots' offensive backfield. But as shown against the Bills, Maye and the offense could do the same if the offensive line wins in the trenches and gives him time to scan and process the field.
