El Mala a doubt for Köln's trip to Stuttgart

1. FC Köln may have to manage without both of their goalscorers from their 3-2 opening Bundesliga win over TSG Hoffenheim when they visit VfB Stuttgart on Friday.

Said El Mala, who scored the opener, and Thijs Dallinga, who came off the bench to bag a brace, both missed training on Wednesday due to illness and are doubts for the game.

"We'll have to see tomorrow," 1. FC Köln coach René Wagner said at a press conference on Wednesday when asked about the attacking duo.

"With both of them, it looks like it could be a close call. We'll have to take it day by day."

The game is scheduled to kick off at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Friday at 20:30 CEST.
