Chargers make two roster moves with Week 1 on the horizon

The Chargers made two roster moves on Friday.

According to the NFL transactions , Los Angeles waived wide receiver Sincere Brown and edge rusher Kyle Kennard.

Brown and Kennard were both waived with injury settlements.

Brown, whose injury is undisclosed, was recently on the injured reserve. He reverted to the Chargers' IR after going unclaimed on waivers earlier in the week. However, he is on track to become a free agent and seek another opportunity.

Brown was a member of the Buffaloes last season. As a senior wide receiver, he racked up 22 receptions for 376 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 17.1 yards per reception in 12 games. Brown signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent.

The same goes for Kennard. Kennard was waived with an injury designation earlier in the week. Similar to Brown, Kennard's injury is also undisclosed. The 24-year-old faced a tough offseason and missed practices did him no favors.

The Chargers drafted Kennard in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Kennard only appeared in five games for Los Angeles.
