Craig & Chris Short end interim stint at Oxford

Oxford United have confirmed that assistant head coach Craig Short has left the League One club alongside his brother Chris Short.

Craig Short took interim charge of the U's on three occasions in his six years at the Kassam Stadium, most recently for a period after Gary Rowett's sacking that included a 2-1 win over Southampton on Boxing Day last year.

Chris Short had two spells in United's backroom staff as head of sports science, first joining Oxford in 2018 and returning in 2022 after a spell away.

"Everyone at Oxford United would like to thank Craig and Chris for their years of dedication and professionalism," the U's said in a club statement.

"They depart with our sincerest gratitude and our very best wishes for whatever comes next."
