FSU running back makes Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Watch List

Florida State football running back Quintrevion Wisner is up for a big honor. He's landed on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list . It's given to the top offensive player who graduated from a high school or plays for a Texas-based Division 1 school. Wisner is also on the Doak Walker Award watch list .

Wisner went to DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas. He was a productive player as a senior with 846 rushing yards and six touchdowns; he also registered 35 receptions for 466 yards and four scores.

In college, Wisner has produced as well. In three seasons with the Texas Longhorns , he played in 38 games and amassed 1,734 rushing yards and nine touchdowns plus 66 receptions for 457 yards and two scores. He produced 597 yards rushing and three touchdowns and 146 receiving yards and one touchdown in 2025.

Wisner suffered a minor injury earlier this month. However, he will be available in the season opener against the New Mexico State Aggies, according to head coach Mike Norvell. He'll be in the rotation with Ousmane Kromah and Samuel Singleton Jr. this year.

He ran for over 1,000 yards in 2004. So, Wisner is more than capable of handling a sizeable workload if an unforeseen injury occurs or if he simply outplays Kromah or Singleton. Hopefully that's not the case, but it's good for FSU to have a guy that can do so if need be.
