Social media sounds off on the roughing the passer penalty called against Lukas Van Ness late in the Packers' game vs. the Dallas Cowboys.

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur acknowledged after the 23-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6 his team has to clean up the penalties.

Before a national audience on "Sunday Night Football," the Packers had 11 penalties in the game, including multiple dead-ball infractions, for a total of 96 yards.

Four penalties actually came on one drive for the defense in the fourth quarter, with one taking away an interception.

But that roughing the passer penalty called against Packers edge rusher Lukas Van Ness in the fourth quarter had many on social media baffled with the referees.

The Packers led 23-7 at the time and Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott looked for wide receiver Jonathan Mingo. Carrington Valentine stepped in front of Mingo and picked it off.

However, that interception was negated when Van Ness was called for a late hit on Prescott.

Replays showed Van Ness pushed Prescott with two hands after he released the ball, though it wasn't high and it certainly didn't appear that it was done with any kind of force, even if it knocked the Cowboys QB off his feet.

The Cowboys continued the drive but it ended on downs and the Packers kept their two-score lead.

The penalties were part of a chippy game between the Packers and Cowboys, who were also called for 11 penalties totaling 108 yards.

Those on X had a lot to say about the officials on the Van Ness call. Here's a sample:
