Nebraska soccer (3-5-10, 1-4-7 Big Ten) concluded the 2026 season on Friday night at Purdue (15-2-2, 9-2-1 Big Ten). The Huskers fell short once again, ending the season with a 2-1 defeat to the Boilermakers.

Nebraska initially took the lead in the second half, scoring on a penalty kick in the 54th minute. Purdue responded, however, delivering the equalizer on a penalty kick in the 63rd minute before hitting the go-ahead score in the 86th minute. Ella Guyott scored for the Huskers on the penalty kick, her only shot on the night.

The Boilermakers outshot the Huskers 18-13 on the night. Purdue especially brought the pressure in the second half, with the team firing 12 in the 45-minute stretch. The Boilermakers also topped Nebraska in shots on goal, 5-4.

Carson Bohonek led the Huskers in shooting, totaling four in the loss, two on goal. Ava Makovicka finished with three shots, one on goal. Avery Gillahan earned three saves in the loss, going 3-for-5 in shots faced.

Nebraska, unfortunately, misses out on the Big Ten Tournament after going 3-5-10 on the regular season. The Huskers' 10 ties lead the nation, alongside Loyola-Maryland. Nebraska also earned nine shutouts on the season, only two shy of the nation's best this year.
