Liverpool have turned their attention to Crystal Palace 's Ismaila Sarr as the Reds look to sign a winger before the deadline.
Liverpool have made an offer worth around £50m for the Senegal international , after deciding against pursuing Brighton 's Yankuba Minteh .
Andoni Iraola 's side saw two bids for Minteh rejected, the last of which was around £60m. Minteh is also currently sidelined until October after undergoing ankle surgery.
Sarr has emerged as an alternative with optimism that a deal can be done. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool have lodged a £50m bid for the 28-year-old, who is keen on the move. Galatasaray had also been chasing a deal for Sarr and have had two offers turned down.
Sarr scored 21 goals in all competitions for Crystal Palace last season and was named Europa Conference League Player of the Season as the Eagles won the trophy. He then netted four times for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup this summer.
Palace are under no pressure to sell with Sarr contracted until 2029. However, the player's desire to play Champions League football and Liverpool's offer could tempt the South Londoners into a sale.
Sarr would represent a natural right-sided winger for Liverpool, following the loss of Mohamed Salah . Interest in Sarr comes alongside the pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain 's Bradley Barcola , with Liverpool keen to sign both players before the deadline.
Sarr boasts a brilliant goal record against Liverpool. He's scored seven times in 10 appearances against the Reds in all competitions for Palace and former club Watford.
