1 Bold Prediction For Every WWE Title For Rest of 2026
To say the WWE title scenes are super interesting right now would be a gross understatement.
To say the WWE title scenes are super interesting right now would be a gross understatement.
One of the top titles in the entirety of pro wrestling keeps changing hands, after all, going from the likes of CM Punk to Sami Zayn and others.
So-called non-main-event-scene titles currently rest around the waists of fan favorites and/or are embroiled deep in must-see storylines, too.
The result is simple enough: There's an air of importance and unpredictability to most title scenes right now. That's as it should be, of course, but simply hasn't always been the case.
So, let's have some fun with bold predictions around some of the most notable title scenes in WWE right now.
It's easy to think Trick Williams will be coughing up the U.S. title again soon.
This is a title that, after all, rarely has a reign go for more than 50 days, let alone 100-plus. And Williams only won this belt back at Sunday Night's Main Event in September through some silliness involving Lil Yachty.
Even though Williams' feud with Baron Corbin feels over, one can be forgiven for thinking that he won't hold it all that long before it gets hot potato'd around again.
But we're also heading for a quiet portion of the pro wrestling calendar. This might be the stretch Williams holds it while getting built-up, so maybe he'll blow past the 273-day mark set by Logan Paul back in 2023 into 2024.
Bold prediction: Williams sets the longest reign since 2023.
Whereas the main-event titles could use some shorter reigns to keep things interesting, the mid-level titles could use some memorable runs to rebuild their prestige a bit.
Gable got the well-deserved reward for his many, many months of fun storytelling before the unmasking. He's already had some super memorable defenses of the intercontinental title now, too.
By far the best thing WWE can do from here is really take away any and all restraints and just let Gable put on some classics against a wide range of opposition. In fact, him successfully defending it until WrestleMania next year might be a really shrewd move.
Bold prediction: Gable hits the longest reign since Gunther in 2022 (666 days)
The World Tag Team Championships (Austin Theory and Bron Breakker) and WWE Tag Team Championships (Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga) are pretty well-mired in stables action right now.
Fitting, with all the faction drama of Survivor Series on the horizon.
One would think that the belts keep getting passed around a bit, given how much of an afterthought they seem to be at times (did anyone even remember Damian Priest and R-Truth held them for nearly 150 days before The MFTs took them back?).
Same story for the other set of belts, where The Street Profits held it for just 14 days before The Vision took them back.
The bold prediction, then, is both titles stick where they are through the end of the year. Not a lot of reason to keep juggling them around and the focus will be on broader factional drama, so best to have some gold hovering around those scenes.
It feels like WWE wants to really build up Women's Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid right now.
The duo took down Brie Bella and Paige, two veterans who initially won the straps at WrestleMania. They then turned around and beat The Bella Twins and Paige in a six-woman tag match at SummerSlam to keep things going.
Right now, the women's tag division doesn't appear to be all that deep. But traditional WWE booking would suggest that some random combination of women aiming for a "bigger" storyline would eventually rip the belts off the current champion.
Let's go the other direction. Fatal Influence, already at a 75-plus-day reign, will keep right on winning, cementing the longest reign past the 177-day record since the belts were established by The Boss 'n' Hug Connection back in 2019.
Bold prediction: Fatal Influence sets new reign record
The Rhea Ripley injury opened the door for Chelsea Green, but she's done more than enough to earn this 60-plus-day reign at the very top.
With retroactive stuff tacked on, Green has technically been top champ since SummerSlam, where she overcame the likes of Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton in a ladder match.
That said, it feels like there's an expiration date here. Call it sooner than later, too. Green is already losing to Nikki Bella and others in tag matches on weekly programming.
Look for WWE to get the title on Nikki for "bigger" feuds soon, or for a Cargill-type main-eventer to come take it within the month.
Bold prediction: Green doesn't have much longer as champion
So begins the major redemption arc for Stephanie Vaquer.
Vaquer held the Women's World Championship for 210 days starting roughly one year ago but injuries got in the way. WWE then rewarded her upon her return this month with a shocking win during the WWE South America Live Tour in Santiago, Chile.
A historic, viral moment, it feels like Vaquer is just getting started. She had already achieved the longest run with the belt since 2024, so why not aim even higher?
Think, Rhea Ripley's dominant 379-day run that started in 2023 (which matched a Bayley run from 2019). Poetic, really, that Vaquer should land in that fabled territory. And looking at the roster, great veteran feuds like Asuka, Bayley, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan don't have any reason to take it from her, either.
Bold prediction: Vaquer one-ups her last reign…by a lot
No reign with the belt is safe right now.
Sami Zayn's last run with the belt lasted nine days. His current one just hobbled over the 20-day mark. CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre have all held it since mid-2025, once John Cena coughed it up.
Kevin Owens is next. It just feels right.
Sure, Zayn just beat Owens in a title match on a weekly SmackDown broadcast. But the way this has been going, who's to say the opposite doesn't happen within the next week or two?
This has been a you deserve it title for a while now. And it's stressing to the WWE audience that there's no "skippable" thing on the calendar, even at this time of year and into the winter months.
That lesson is going to pop up soon before the month's out when Zayn hands it off to the next guy.
Bold prediction: Zayn has a matter of weeks, if not days, as champion left
On the other end of this is Roman Reigns, who does not feel like he's going to come close to losing before WrestleMania next year.
Reigns is going to lose to LA Knight at Money in the Bank. WWE has rarely been better set up to take a top title off Reigns. And it's rarely had a chance to do so in a way that helps out so many other people.
Royce Keys' 946 faction is the strongest thing fans have seen since the top Bloodline days. There's nothing better to stress this point than to have them throw interference and cost Reigns his title, fully engulfing him in factional warfare that he's so far steered clear of despite the shocking violence.
There's the LA Knight side of the coin, too. He's more than earned it, so give him the ball and let him run with it for a bit to see how it goes before Reigns takes it back for the run up to WrestleMania.
It's so bold, because at this point, both Reigns and Knight seem so permanently stuck in their respective places.
Bold prediction: Reigns loses to LA Knight
