Caitlin Clark’s Fever Teammates Rally Around Her After Spectacular FIBA World Cup Debut

Caitlin Clark is making her Fever teammates proud by repping the team on an international stage in the World Cup. Clark made a major splash in the tournament, with her debut game against Team China showing an absolute behemoth of a performance.

Clark and Team USA gave China a run for their money, with the Indy icon chalking up a sweet fourteen on the board, with eleven helpers. The game was clearly one for the debutantes, with Clark, Paige Bueckers and Rhyne Howard all etching an equal number of points on the board.

Soon after the win, Clark shared a few pictures from the game against China, which got the attention of her Indiana teammates back in the United States. Clark, of course, managed to sneak in a couple of pictures of her Nike shoe line, being the good ambassador she is.

Raven Johnson's comment on Caitlin Clark 's post definitely got heads turning, especially for those who remember all the hue-and-cry by Fever fans when she signed with Indiana. Johnson openly called out Clark and her fans after an NCAA Final Four game, during which she was waved off.

The same fans did not like the Fever bringing Johnson into the fold, with many being worried about how the chemistry between Raven and Clark will turn out to be. However, looking at their interactions and also Johnson hyping Clark up for her Team USA performance, it looks like the two players are getting along just fine.

Caitlin Clark Stinks In Second Game Against Italy

Caitlin Clark thankfully got an easy team in China for her debut. Playing against a Li-Yueru-less China gave Team USA a super-easy win, with the matchup being incredibly beneficial for Clark and the other debutantes of the team. China had a big height advantage in Zhang Ziyu, something that the Americans lacked. Despite this, Clark and her teammate kicked off their World Cup journey with a splendid performance.

However, soon after the win against China, Team USA ran into trouble with Italy. The American ladies barely scraped a win against the Italians, with Clark's performance being among the worst. Clark etched up a measly 'one' on the board, something which has got a lot of criticism since the game. Hopefully, the Indy star will turn the narrative around as the team gets ready to take on the Czech Republic next up.
