LEXINGTON — The honorary captains for Kentucky football on Saturday, Sept. 12, are familiar faces to the fanbase.

Quarterback Tim Couch and wide receiver Craig Yeast connected on a 26-yard touchdown in overtime to knock off Alabama 40-34 at then- Commonwealth Stadium in 1997. Now, nearly 30 years later, Couch and Yeast will be together again as honorary captains as the Wildcats prepare to host the Crimson Tide at Kroger Field .

The 1997 victory marked UK's last win in the series ; its only other triumph over UA was in 1922.

Arguably the best signal caller in program history , Couch still holds numerous single-game, single-season and career records at Kentucky . Yeast is at the top of the school's list in numerous career categories, including receptions (208), receiving yards (2,899) and receiving touchdowns (28).

Saturday's game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET and air nationally on ABC.

SEC Nation will conduct its pregame show from 9 a.m. to noon, live from campus.
