LeBron James won't be taking part in 76ers preseason opener tonight

LeBron James won't be taking the court for the Philadelphia 76ers' first preseason game on Monday night, ESPN NBA reporter Dave McMenamin said.

Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are also among the players ruled out for the game.

There will be a total of four preseason games before the Sixers open the season Oct. 20 in New York against the NBA champion Knicks.
