LeBron James laments his poor shooting night that snapped his 396-game streak
LeBron James had one of the worst shooting nights of his career on Friday night, and he knows the reason behind it.
After a strong start to the 2026-27 season, the Philadelphia 76ers have finally lost their second game. It was a 119-95 blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers , which is an eye-opener for the 76ers after all their success.
It was a much-needed win for the Cavaliers , as they were floundering with a .500 record. Considering they had LeBron James coming back home for the game, it was a special night. However, it became a bad one for James because his streak of games in Cleveland with double-digit points ended at 396.
LeBron James did not like how poor the 76ers' shooting was against the Cavs
For the longest time, James had a hot streak with his regular season scoring. Despite struggling in some games, he still managed to score 10 or more points in the past 396 games he has played in the city of Cleveland.
Of course, James holds the record for that achievement because before he had this 396-game streak, he had a whopping 1,297-game streak of double-digit games from January 2007 to December 2025.
James had a quiet game against his hometown team, as he only had eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists. He only made three out of his 12 shots, one of the worst shooting nights of his career. However, it was not just him who had a rough night.
"Every game has its own challenges. Offensively, as a group, our offense was not good at all, and I know I damn sure wasn't good at all. I'm looking at the film and trying to get better from there," James said after the 76ers' loss to the Cavaliers .
It will be interesting to see how the 76ers bounce back from this. They have not faced much adversity this season, but with James as their leader, it will likely not be too much of a problem for them.
