Colts depth chart: What Ravens fans need to know for Week 1

The Indianapolis Colts released their first unofficial depth chart of the 2026 regular season ahead of Sunday's opener against the Baltimore Ravens at Lucas Oil Stadium. Daniel Jones will lead an offense featuring Jonathan Taylor , Tyler Warren , Alec Pierce , Josh Downs and Keenan Allen . Indianapolis also strengthened its defense with Sauce Gardner and Charvarius Ward Sr., giving coordinator Lou Anarumo one of the NFL's most accomplished outside cornerback tandems.

The depth chart remains unofficial, but it provides Ravens fans with a clearer picture of the personnel Baltimore will face in Week 1.

Daniel Jones has an impressive collection of weapons

Indianapolis has surrounded Jones with enough talent to stress every level of Jesse Minter's defense.

Taylor remains the centerpiece after rushing for 1,585 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. Warren led the Colts in targets as a rookie and gives Jones a 6-foot-6 receiving option in the middle of the field. Pierce is one of the NFL's most dangerous vertical receivers, while Downs can create separation from the slot. Allen provides experience, route-running ability, and another dependable option on third down.

Baltimore cannot focus its attention entirely on Taylor without creating opportunities for Jones in the passing game.

Tyler Warren is the clear No. 1 tight end.

Warren is listed ahead of Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree after quickly establishing himself as one of Indianapolis' most important offensive players. His size, athleticism, and versatility could require Baltimore to use Kyle Hamilton in coverage. Minter can also rotate Malaki Starks , Jaylinn Hawkins and the linebackers into the matchup.

Preventing Warren from controlling the middle of the field will be one of Baltimore's most important defensive assignments.

Jalen Travis gets the first opportunity at right tackle

Indianapolis lists Travis at right tackle, with Luke Tenuta behind him.

That matchup should attract the attention of Trey Hendrickson , Mike Green and Baltimore's other pass rushers. The Ravens can move Hendrickson across the formation to identify favorable matchups and test Indianapolis' protection plan. The Colts still have proven interior blockers in Quenton Nelson, DeForest Buckner's namesake? No—Nelson and center Tanor Bortolini—but Baltimore should attack the less-established right side of the line.

Sauce Gardner and Charvarius Ward present a major test

Indianapolis' defense may be strongest at outside cornerback.

Gardner can eliminate space and challenge receivers at the line of scrimmage. Ward gives Anarumo another experienced defender who can handle difficult assignments on the perimeter. Their presence could allow Indianapolis to use additional defenders against Jackson and Henry. Zay Flowers , Rashod Bateman and Baltimore's other receivers must consistently win isolated matchups.

Justin Walley is listed as the starting nickel cornerback, creating a potential matchup for Flowers when Baltimore moves him inside.

The Colts have a disruptive defensive front.

Buckner and Stewart anchor the interior, while Latu and Key provide pressure from the edge.

That group will immediately test Baltimore's rebuilt offensive line. Jovaughn Gwyn is making his first career start at center, while rookie Vega Ioane will start at right guard. Keeping Jackson comfortable and creating running lanes for Henry will require strong communication from a line playing its first regular-season game together.

Anthony Richardson is the backup quarterback.

Jones is the unquestioned starter, while Richardson is listed second and Riley Leonard third. Indianapolis could still create a package for Richardson because of his size and rushing ability. Baltimore must be prepared for the possibility, particularly in short-yardage or red-zone situations.

The primary challenge remains Jones, but Richardson's presence gives the Colts another potential wrinkle.
