Brooke Hogan reveals relationship with father Hulk Hogan began to deteriorate "after he slept with" her friend

Hulk Hogan was not only credited as one of the greatest icons of professional wrestling, but also as a highly controversial person in real life. One of the biggest revelations came out in 2008 when his daughter's friend, Christiane Plante, admitted to the National Enquirer that they were romantically involved. Hogan's daughter Brooke reflected back on that situation and how it became a turning point in the relationship between her and her father.Brooke Hogan says her relationship with Hulk Hogan took a major turning point after an affair with her friendIn a recent interview with US Weekly, Brooke Hogan said, “A major turning point came after he slept with my friend Christiane [Plante]. I forgive people very easily — sometimes probably too easily — and I forgave him, but something between us changed afterward. I don’t think he ever related to me in quite the same way again.”This came on the heels of Hulk Hogan's divorce from his first wife, Linda. Both had filed for divorce in 2007 after being married for 24 years. Christiane Plante had revealed that their affair began after Hogan and Linda had come to the private realization that their marriage was over. After the affair revelation and divorce of her parents, Brooke said that the entire family structure changed.“Then the divorce happened, and our entire family structure changed. Over time, things became increasingly complicated until eventually the relationship I had always believed could survive anything couldn’t survive what was happening around us anymore”,she said.Brooke Hogan says she still loved her father Despite the years of pain and living in a family full of issues, betrayal, and controversies, Brooke did not want to erase the good memories of her father. However, she maintained that Hogan did hurt her at the same time.“I can love my father profoundly and still tell the truth about where he hurt me. I can acknowledge the wonderful things my family gave me while also acknowledging that eventually the dynamic became something I could no longer live inside. Both things can be true,” said Brooke.Hulk Hogan passed away due to a cardiac arrest in his home in Clearwater, Florida, in 2025.
