UConn football got a much-needed bounce back win Saturday, Oct. 10.

Following two heartbreaking losses to Miami (Ohio) and Syracuse, the Huskies went on the road and defeated Temple 34-20 to snap its skid.

UConn totaled 248 yards on the ground in the win. An eight-yard rush from Cyncir Bowers early in the fourth quarter all but sealed the win for UConn, which improved to 3-3 going into its bye week.

Here's how we graded the Huskies' performance.

The offense started off hot, scoring on four of its first five drives of the game.

Quarterback Kalieb Osborne had one of his more efficient games of the season as he completed 17 of 23 passes for 257 yards.

UConn got a complete performance from its running back room as the trio of Kenji Christian, Cyncir Bowers and Trey Cornist combined for 237 yards and three touchdowns on 26 touches.

But some of the same problems that occurred over the last two weeks reared its ugly head again on Saturday. The offense stalled for much of the third quarter, allowing Temple chances at breaking the game open.

Still, Osborne and the offense were efficient in big spots, which is all you can ask for from a young team at this point in the season.

Despite giving up a few huge plays, the Huskies stayed solid for a majority of the afternoon.

UConn forced two turnovers as Shamar Riser-Pressley and Renick Dorilas each recorded a forced fumble. Temple's high-powered rushing attack finished with 146 yards after averaging just over 212 yards per game over the last five contests.

The Huskies brought down quarterback Ajani Sheppard four times.

Nothing spectacular, but a solid showing from the special team's unit. Kicker Jack O'Connor scored field goals from 21 and 27 yards out. He hit all four of his extra-point attempts.

After two heartbreaking losses, Jason Candle and his staff bounced back in a big way.

When the Huskies had the lead in the fourth quarter, Candle didn't play it safe. Instead, he let Osborne and the offense continue to try and move the ball forward.

The offense stalled in the third quarter, but the coaching staff pushed all the right buttons to come away with a big win on the road.

Notably, penalties were still an issue with UConn, committing eight infractions that resulted in 65 yards.

UConn finally got a complete game running the ball, and it was a group effort.

Cyncir Bowers carried the ball 18 times for 84 yards. Trey Cornist rushed for 114 yards on seven carries, Kenji Christian totaled 39 yards on just one touch and Osborne had 11 yards. All four had a touchdown rush.
