After a disappointing playoff exit, there was a lot of chatter surrounding the future of the Denver Nuggets . Jamal Murray , who has been with the team since 2016, found his name thrown into trade rumors and scenarios. Despite all the talk, Murray has not paid much attention to it.
"It's a business at the end of the day," Murray said. "I've been blessed and grateful to be with the same team that drafted me."
During the end-of-season press conference, team president Josh Kroenke said any Nuggets player is on the table for trade talks, except for three-time MVP Nikola Jokic . Even with the Nuggets being a bit non-committal about Murray's future, he is still heading into the upcoming season excited to play alongside his teammates.

"Personally, I'm grateful just to be here and have an opportunity to win a championship with my brothers," Murray said. "We've been (through) ups and downs and all that stuff. To have this type of relationship, even off the court, it means a lot."
Murray is coming off a career year. He hit career highs, averaging 25.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game while also shooting 43.5% from 3-point range. To top it off, he earned his first All-Star and All-NBA selections.
Aaron Gordon , who was sitting alongside Murray at Nuggets media day, has witnessed his teammate's talent firsthand.
"This is a master at his craft. He can't shoot the ball any better," Gordon said. "He can't dribble the ball any better. Everything is maxed out. This is one of, if not the, best shot makers in the game today."
Murray and the Nuggets will open up their preseason on October 4 against the Utah Jazz .
