Anthony Joshua has reunited with trainer Ben Davison as he prepares for his long-awaited fight with Tyson Fury. Joshua has recently been pictured at Davison’s gym in Harlow, suggesting the trainer will have a role in his preparations for the huge heavyweight clash.Joshua worked with Davison for two fights in 2023 before moving on after his knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois. Davison also has extensive experience with Fury, having trained the former world champion during his comeback. Obviously, there’s probably a feeling that Ben Davison knows Tyson Fury extremely well. I don’t know AJ’s final decision to where he’s going to locate his training camp, but Ben Davison will definitely be involved in that camp and that process.”Davison also has a unique connection to Fury. He became one of the key figures in the heavyweight’s comeback in 2018.At the time, Fury was returning after struggling with depression and substance abuse. Davison helped him rebuild his career and regain his place among the heavyweight elite.Fury weighed around 30 stone when he began his comeback. He most recently returned to the ring against Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga in June.Joshua was knocked down twice in the opening round before recovering to stop Prenga in the second round.
