Best No. 6 in Steelers history: QB Bubby Brister
No. 6 doesn't have the historical impact as other numbers on our countdown to kickoff, but the greatest wearer is without a doubt quarterback Bubby Brister.
Brister, selected by Pittsburgh with the 67th overall pick in the third round of the 1986 NFL Draft, spent seven years with the Steelers (1986-1992) and recorded 10,104 passing yards and 51 touchdowns.
He eventually passed the torch to quarterback Neil O'Donnell following the arrival of head coach Bill Cowher, but remains the greatest Steeler ever to wear No. 6 in franchise history.
