Fan-favorite Duke alum returns to campus amid NBA offseason
Former Duke Blue Devil Jared McCain returned to campus earlier this week, spending time with his brother and one of his former teammates.
Another former Duke Blue Devil returned to campus this week, as Jared McCain dropped in on his alma mater. It was a reunion for McCain in many ways, who was able to workout with his brother, Jayce McCain, a current player development specialist at Duke. McCain also spent time with Caleb Foster, his former teammate during the 2023-24 season. Foster is the only remaining student athlete from the 2023-24 Duke squad, as both he and McCain went 27-9 in their freshman season three years ago.
Following the visit, McCain reflected on his time back in Durham.
"It's amazing, man; I love it," he said. "It brings me back to 2023, freshman year. It's awesome. I love coming back here; it brings the best memories."
McCain also spoke on Jayce's role with the school, saying, "It's amazing, man. It gives me an excuse to come back. I love him being here and being able to keep up with the team through him."
