Liverpool are conducting late fitness checks on Alexander Isak , Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Brentford .

All three missed the recent games against Manchester City and LASK, with Isak the biggest concern. The striker is nursing a thigh injury picked up while on international duty with Sweden and is considered a major doubt.

Gakpo is also facing a late check because of an ankle problem and is unlikely to start, while Szoboszlai remains doubtful after suffering a hamstring overload.

There is better news elsewhere, with manager Andoni Iraola confirming that Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike are progressing well. Bradley is targeting a return against Manchester United on November 22 after recovering from a knee injury, while Ekitike could be back around December 26 against Hull City following his Achilles injury.

Giovanni Leoni remains out with an ACL injury but could return to training during the next international break.

Ryan Gravenberch will also miss Brentford through suspension after his red card against Manchester City. He is available again against Brighton on October 25.
