Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita started Clockwork Carnage at a faster pace despite having to last for 30 minutes. Takeshita gorilla-pressed Ospreay from the top rope and and blasted Ospreay with a flying clothesline. The pace quickened, and Takeshita hit a dive to the outside on Ospreay.
Bailey wore United Empire colors, but Excalibur reminded viewers that there are no friends in Clockwork Carnage. Takeshita wiped out Bailey and went back to work on Ospreay to the delight of the crowd. Ospreay and Speedball showed solidarity with a United Empire high-five. Takeshita broke it up immediately and fans supported it.
Ricochet tried to bargain with Takeshita so they could work together against the UE. The strategy worked temporarily until Twitter Ricky tried to roll up Takeshita for a nearfall. Ricochet rebounded with a dive to Ospreay on the outside. Ricochet tried a chop on Takeshita to no avail. His forearms didn't work either. One headbutt from Takeshita dropped Ricochet like a WWE roster cut.
Ospreay and Bailey hit a double superplex to Takeshita, but Ospreay tried to vulture the pin and failed. Darby Allin flew in with a skateboard and hit an ollie on Ricochet's back. Darby set up a table outside of the ring.
Ospreay looked nearly defeated when Kazuchika Okada's music hit after three more minutes of Clockwork Carnage. Okada hit a textbook dropkick on Darby Allin, sending him crashing to the mat.
Takeshita eliminated Bailey with a Burning Hammer. Adam Copeland was out next and fans popped huge. Fans sang Cope's music as he set up Ricochet for a spear. Cope missed the spear and landed face-first into the turnbuckle. Copeland blocked Ricochet's moonsault with his knees.
Okada came flying in and hit a Rainmaker on Takeshita for the elimination. Samoa Joe ran down as the final entrant. Ricochet went for a tope, and Joe said "Nope."
The 15-minute interval came down to a Final 6 with Takeshita and Mike Bailey eliminated. What followed was a parade of pinfalls with everybody scoring one pin except Copeland. Darby took the lead with a pin on Cope.
Cope speared Ricochet out of the ring and through the table. A great spot, but as Tony Schiavone noted, you've got to pin people to win Clockwork Carnage. With less than six minutes remaining in Clockwork Carnage, Ospreay and Allin were deadlocked at two pins apiece. Everybody else had one pin with the exception of Cope who was stuck at zero.
Samoa Joe dodged two separate Oscutters with the Nope spot. Joe pounced on Ospreay with a Coquina Clutch. Nigel McGuinness wisely advised Ospreay to tap with time running out in Clockwork Carnage. Ospreay finally tapped, giving Joe two wins. At the three-minute mark, there was a three-way tie between Ospreay, Allin and Joe.
Copeland got on the board late with a pair of spears on Samoa Joe and Ricochet at the two-minute mark. Now it was a four-way tie. In a wild final 90 seconds filled with nearfalls, Ospreay stumbled his way to a Hidden Blade attempt, but Cope dodged it and hit an Impaler on Ospreay. 60 seconds left.
Cope went for a spear, but Okada cut him off. Copeland hit a spear on Okada and pinned Okada with 10 seconds left. Ospreay cut him off with a Hidden Blade at the buzzer for the win. Fans seemed disappointed this match didn't go to overtime, but it was fun while it lasted.
