West Ham’s Jean-Clair Todibo undergoing Lens medical ahead of loan move

West Ham United defender Jean-Clair Todibo (26) is undergoing a medical ahead of a loan move to RC Lens, as per a report from RMC Sport.

It has been expected that Todibo would leave West Ham this summer, following the club's relegation to the EFL Championship. Aston Villa have shown interest in the France international, whilst Olympique de Marseille have been tracking the defender for much of the summer. OM, however, have been in a situation where they have had to offload players before dipping into the market. As of Sunday, they have not sold sufficiently to allow them to make a signing. Grégory Lorenzi, the club's sporting director, has now warned that OM may not make a signing before Tuesday's deadline.

So instead, Todibo will head to Lens, where he will have the chance to compete in the UEFA Champions League. An agreement between Les Sang et Or and West Ham has been reached. The Frenchman has made a financial effort in order to complete the loan move, which does not include a buy option. The Frenchman is already in Lens undergoing his medical, RMC Sport understands.
