Koopmeiners always knew he would remain at Juventus this season

Teun Koopmeiners was linked with a summer move away from Juventus after two disappointing seasons at the club, and Juve were keen for him to leave .

The Dutchman has failed to replicate the form he showed at Atalanta, which prompted Juventus to add him to their squad, and the Bianconeri wanted him to leave.

They waited for offers, but those offers started arriving late in the window , and it was never a good time for Juve to sell him or any other midfielder in their squad.

Koopmeiners has not regained a starting spot in the team, and he might not do so, but the Dutchman is not thinking about leaving as much as the club wants him to go.

While the rumours were flying around during the summer, he remained relaxed because he wanted to stay and did not consider leaving the Bianconeri for any reason.

Koopmeiners wanted to remain at Juventus

Now that the transfer window is shut, Koopmeiners can focus on doing well this season, but he never thought about leaving Juventus.

The Dutchman appears determined to contribute to the team despite his difficult spell at the club. His priority remains helping the Bianconeri rather than considering a move away.

Koopmeiners has therefore continued to focus on his role within the squad, even though he has not yet regained a regular starting position.

Speaking via Tuttomercatoweb , Koopmeiners explained that he never had any doubt about remaining at Juventus. He said:

"I don't know… For me there was no doubt that I would stay, I always remained focused on how I could help the team. I started well, but I'm thinking about the team."

His comments make it clear that leaving Juve was never his priority during the summer. While his future was the subject of speculation, Koopmeiners remained focused on helping the Bianconeri.

The midfielder now has the opportunity to concentrate fully on the season ahead and attempt to improve his situation at Juventus. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future during the transfer window, he remained committed to staying at the club.
