Missouri football sets record in dominant win over Florida
The Missouri football program set a cool record against Florida on Saturday.
No. 25 Missouri had its way with No. 8 Florida at home on Saturday.
The game was tied more than halfway through the second quarter before Missouri took over. Missouri scored 10 points in the final four minutes of the half to take a 20-10 lead into the break, then outscored Florida 25-7 in the second half to win 45-17.
Tigers quarterback Austin Simmons went off, throwing for 340 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Jamal Roberts was also no answer for the Gators' defense, finishing with 24 carries for 211 yards and three touchdowns.
This win was so big for Missouri that it set the program record for the largest win against an AP Top-10 opponent.

Missouri suffered its first loss of the season to Mississippi State last Saturday, 31-24. Missouri was up 24-17 going into the fourth quarter before allowing 14 unanswered points.
The loss dropped the program to No. 25 in the country, and a loss today would've dropped the team outside of the AP Top 25. Instead, the team played its best game of the season to get to 4-1 overall and stay mathematically alive in the SEC title race.
The Tigers will try to make it two wins in a row next Saturday when it hosts Texas A&M. A kickoff time has yet to be announced.
