How much longer Travis Kelce has left in the NFL remains a big topic of discussion after he returned for Year 14 of his career.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has made an electric start to the 2026 season having put up 231 receiving yards and two touchdowns through the opening three weeks. Which is a really promising sign given the regression seen in his stats over recent years.

What lies ahead in the season in terms of fitness remains to be seen, but Kelce is looking as good as ever in the Chiefs' offence, which is firing on all cylinders following the addition of running back Kenneth Walker III.

The Chiefs are heading into their Week Four game against the Las Vegas Raiders, with one of the AFC West teams set to lose their unbeaten record on the season. Kelce will be expected to play a big role, with Gray admittedly left so impressed with his start to the year.

"He's awesome. He's flying around. I told him the other day, "Looked like he was 27." He is a great leader. He's a guy that comes in to work. He's another extremely humble dude, always willing to help out with whatever you need. He's just a guy that uplifts you," he told the media.

"When you show up to work and you got a guy like that, a leader like that, in the locker room, it makes you want to go out there in practice even when you don't want to."

Kelce turns 37 years of age on Monday, which naturally brings his future in the game under scrutiny. It has been a busy year for the tight end following his marriage to global superstar Taylor Swift back in July.

However, with the Chiefs' offence looking so much more functional through the addition of an actual running back threat in Walker, it has allowed Kelce and Patrick Mahomes to get back to their best form through these early weeks.

Whether Kelce still has the hunger for another season is something only he can answer, but it is clear that he is looking as fit as ever to his teammates.
