The New York Jets recently suffered their first loss of the season with a tough overtime defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Packers at home. Making matters worse was the fact that defensive end David Bailey appeared to suffer an injury during the contest, causing some fans to wonder about his status moving forward.
Thankfully, on Wednesday, the team got a positive update on that front.
"David Bailey has an elbow injury but Glenn said he's fine," reported Brian Costello of the New York Post on X, formerly Twitter.

However, it wasn't all good news on the injury front for the Jets on Wednesday.
"DT David Onyemata had core-muscle surgery. Expected to be back by the end of the year, per Glenn," reported Rich Cimini of ESPN on X.
It's unclear exactly how long Onyemata's recovery process is expected to take, but clearly, he isn't anticipated to be back anytime soon.
In his absence, it will be up to Bailey and the other members of the Jets' restructured defensive line, which lost Quinnen Williams via trade last season, to pick up the slack.
Overall, the Jets have been more competitive than many expected so far this year, knocking off the Tennessee Titans in blowout fashion in Week 1 on the road before giving the Packers all they could handle on Sunday afternoon.
Thus far, Aaron Glenn seems to have the team playing inspired football, even as his clock management woes of last year have clearly not improved in 2026.
In any case, the Jets will next hit the field on Sunday for a tough road game vs the Detroit Lions . Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm ET.
