U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker and International Team captain Geoff Ogilvy made their six selections to round out their respective 12-man teams for this fall's Presidents Cup on Tuesday afternoon.

Ogilvy's group will attempt to end a long, dominant run by the United States at Medinah Country Club later this month. The United States beat the International Team 18.5-11.5 the last time out in Montreal in 2024. The Americans have won the last 10 straight meetings, too.

Scottie Scheffler, fresh off his win at the Tour Championship, led the way among the six automatic American qualifiers . He won three times on the PGA Tour this season, and surpassed Tiger Woods on the Tour's all-time money list in the process. Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley and Collin Morikawa secured automatic bids, too.

Snedeker selected several obvious choices with his first picks, including Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay. Jacob Bridgeman was his 11th pick. Bridgeman won for the first time on Tour at the Genesis Invitational in February, and finished T4 at the Tour Championship.

Snedeker then used his final pick on rookie Jackson Koivun, who picked up his first Tour win just weeks after shedding his amateur status in July. The 21-year-old is the second-youngest American player in Presidents Cup history, behind only Jordan Spieth in 2013. Gotterup and Bridgeman will be making their Presidents Cup debuts, too.

Si Woo Kim earned the top spot on the International team after their qualifying period ended. Kim had 11 top-10 finishes on Tour this past season, and will now play in his fourth Presidents Cup. British Open winner Ryan Fox, Hideki Matsuyama, Min Woo Lee, Tom Kim and Adam Scott also earned automatic bids. Scott will play in his 12th Presidents Cup, which ties Phil Mickelson for the most in event history.

Ogilvy then selected Corey Conners, Nicolas Echavarria, Nick Taylor, Sungjae Im, Ryo Hisatsune and Christiaan Bezuidenhout to round out his team. Echavarria is the only one in that group who won on Tour this past season with his victory at the Cognizant Classic. He is making his Presidents Cup debut, as are Hisatsune and Taylor.
