FedEx Cup Standings 2026, Points Leaderboard Before TOUR Championship

The top 30 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings are headed to East Lake Golf Club for the 2026 Tour Championship.

Scottie Scheffler was the runaway leader atop the points standings. He finished with a 1,523-point lead over Matt Fitzpatrick.

Once play begins at East Lake, though, points don't matter. The new Tour Championship format is a straight-up stroke-play event where the lowest score wins.

The 2026 Tour Championship has a new format than past years as the conclusion of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

All 30 golfers in the field start at even-par and will play a 72-hole stroke-play event. The winner with the lowest score takes home the FedEx Cup.

In previous years, the leader of the FedEx Cup standings started at 10-under in a staggered scoring start.

The new format levels the playing field for all 30 golfers in the field and should make the weekend at East Lake more competitive.

The margin of victory in five of the seven years at the Tour Championship was three or more strokes.

Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark come into East Lake as the winners from the last two weeks.

Clark might be viewed as the tournament favorite by some because of how well he played at the BMW Championship last week.

Rory McIlroy is also expected to be in the mix after he had a bounce-back week at the BMW.

Tommy Fleetwood is the reigning Tour Championship winner. He shot 18-under last year to claim the $10 million prize.

One other golfer to watch is Patrick Cantlay. He has four top-seven finishes at East Lake in his last four starts there. Cantlay finished second last week and enters East Lake with three straight top-12 finishes.
