Tiger Woods hasn't made a start on the PGA Tour in over two years, but he appears to be inching closer to a return.

Before this weekend's Biltmore Championship in Asheville, North Carolina, Woods was seen on the driving range, showing his progress in his recovery from injuries suffered in a car accident earlier this year.

"I can hit pretty much anything," Woods said when asked where he is in his recovery. "I'm a little stiff today because, obviously, last night we were all hanging out, having fun."

Woods announced in March that he would be taking some time away from golf to focus on getting healthy.

"I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery," he said at the time . "I'm committed to taking the time needed to return to a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally."

A 15-time major champion, Woods has not won on the PGA Tour since the 2019 ZOZO Championship, which marked his 82nd career victory to tie Sam Snead's all-time record. He previously said that he has had seven back surgeries and over 20 operations on his leg.

At 50 years old, Woods doesn't have anything left to prove in the sport of golf. Still, it looks like he's motivated to get back to the game he loves, and Tuesday's appearance on the driving range seems to be a step in the right direction.
