President Trump on Wednesday evening slammed U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes’s decision this week to extend an order blocking tree removal at a golf course in Washington, D.C., that he wants to renovate into a championship-level course.

In a Truth Social post , the president wrote that his administration would hold Reyes “fully responsible for anybody who is hurt, or killed, on this very dangerous, dilapidated, and unsightly Golf Course.”

The judge granted a preliminary injunction earlier this month and scolded the Trump administration’s lawyers for failing to provide adequate notice before cutting down over 400 hundred trees in East Potomac Park.

“I trusted you all not to do precisely what you have done,” she said during an emergency hearing on Oct. 12, noting the government had lost “all of its credibility” in the case.

Under the order, the administration cannot cut down, alter or harm additional trees on the property, with exceptions made for public safety. The injunction also stipulates that the administration must provide 10 days’ notice before it closes the course or makes “irreversible” changes to its design.

In addition, Reyes called for a new hearing over the issue, after Trump vowed to press ahead with the project despite the rulings.

The park is home to three golf courses, including an affordable 18-hole public facility that serves tens of thousands of players per week. It is also a popular destination for runners, bikers and picnics.

In his late Wednesday post, Trump shared images of torn protective netting, yellow grass and feces from around the course, calling these conditions “highly dangerous, dilapidated, and absolutely disgusting.”

“The driving range should provide Golfers with stunning views of the Washington Monument, not of a barren, debris-ridden wasteland,” the president continued. “The driving range should NOT be a threat to life and limb.”

He also called the conditions a “National Disgrace” and vowed to turn the park into a “WORLD CLASS PUBLIC Golf Course that is AFFORDABLE for locals.”
