HUSKERS HAPPY HOUR: 49-21 Is a Good Start With Plenty To Work On

Season 3 of the Huskers Happy Hour kicked off and we had a blazing hot opener vs. the Ohio Bobcats to talk about, so we did. We went through the drive chart, the stats – team and individual – and looked ahead to the next opponent, Bowling Green, who dropped their opener to FCS squad Tarlton State.

The Huskers? They got an early challenge, held their ground, turned things around and finally stopped making the mistakes which made the scoreboard take longer to catch up to Nebraska's control of the game.

We talked about the Nebraska debuts of Anthony Colandrea and true freshman running back Jamal Rule, both of whom looked very good their first time sporting the Husker scarlet.

My wreck, Mylie's wedding, folks being wheeled out of Memorial Stadium and Owen Chambliss unexpectedly not dressing all came up. And, fueled by watcher comments, I talked about college football in general including the Big 10 using a clock seen by only three people, instead of a couple seen by many more than that to strip away a Western Michigan upset of the Michigan Wolverines in The Big House.

I also had some opinions on why LSU's absolute destruction of Dabo Sweeney and Clemson gave me so much joy, despite Lane Kiffin being the current CFB public enemy #1.
