Warriors news: Draymond Green impressed by Yaxel Lendeborg

The Golden State Warriors added talent to their team during the offseason that they believe will help them compete and get back into the playoffs after missing last season. In the draft, they selected Yaxel Lendeborg with their first-round pick , and ever since he stepped into the building, it's been nothing but good things said about him.

Draymond Green has spoken highly of the rookie through the offseason, and he was able to see him play recently as the team ramps up to begin the season. Not only was Green impressed with his play , but he seems to like how he adds trash-talking to it.

"Yaxel's talked a lot of s–t, that kid can play. Now I don't wanna put some expectations on him because the NBA game is different, man… but he shoots the piss out of the basketball. I was very, very, very impressed. I'm excited to see where he can take it," Green said.

When one of the biggest trash talkers gives you a compliment on your game and how you trash talk, that has to be a major sign of respect. For Lendeborg to be a rookie and receive that kind of praise should feel even better, and the Warriors might have themselves someone who could make an impact immediately.

As Green said, he doesn't want to put too many expectations on the rookie, but from the looks of it, he may be ready for what the league brings. The good news is that Lendeborg has the right kind of veterans around to help him if he ever feels he needs help.
