Projecting Baltimore’s edge-rusher rotation

After months of waiting, the Ravens will debut a retooled, swagger-filled defense with plenty of playmakers and a closer at the edge rusher spot. Trey Hendrickson will lead Baltimore's pass rush, but the Ravens have several options for constructing the rotation around him.

Hendrickson should play the majority of high-leverage passing downs and could approach 70% of the defensive snaps.

Tavius Robinson is the likely early-down starter opposite him because of his size and ability to set the edge. Mike Green should replace Robinson in obvious passing situations and could finish games with the second-highest snap total in the group. First-round pick Zion Young has the power and frame to contribute against the run before expanding his pass-rush role. His early development should earn him a place in the weekly rotation.

Undrafted rookie Ethan Burke forced his way onto the roster with consistent preseason pressure. His 6-foot-6 frame makes him an intriguing situational option, though special teams will determine how often he dresses and how often he is inactive. Kyle Hamilton and Roquan Smith can also blitz, while Calais Campbell can rush from the edge in heavier fronts.
