Mumbai: Just days after smashing a 400 not out and rewriting the record books, Chinmay Sutar has added another landmark to his extraordinary start in first-class cricket. The 29-year-old, representing Mizoram in the Ranji Trophy Plate Group, on Wednesday broke the world record for the most runs scored after six innings in first-class cricket. His 175 against Arunachal Pradesh in Anand took his tally to 834 runs, surpassing the previous record of 831 runs set by Afghanistan’s Bashir Shah.“I’m glad to be among the runs and making world records. I’m just implementing what I learnt during my early years in Mumbai cricket: score as many runs as you can when in good form,” Sutar told TOI.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
