Bangladesh build despite Shanto's departure - Bangladesh were cruising along nicely at the start of the session before Jomel Warrican produced a timely breakthrough, getting Najmul Hossain Shanto against the run of play and ending a 42-run partnership. That gave West Indies a brief opening, but Shadman Islam and Tawhid Hridoy quickly put the pressure back on the visitors with an enterprising stand. Shadman brought up a well-made fifty, while the pair have now put together 67 runs and given the hosts a strong platform for the final session. There has been some turn on offer, but the surface remains conducive to batting, and the Windies will need to find a way through this partnership. With dark clouds now looming overhead, they will hope the conditions can help them make a late push for wickets.
