DWCS 90 contract winner calls out King Green: 'I'd f*ck him up'

LAS VEGAS – Adam Livingston is wasting no time gunning for established names at lightweight after his Dana White's Contender Series 90 contract win.

Livingsto (8-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) barely escaped Tuesday's event with a UFC contract following a split decision win over Hunter Smith at Meta APEX. UFC CEO White seemed on the fence about giving him a contract, but ultimately rewarded him with one.

"I know I'm only 25, but I've been having this dream for a while," Livingston told MMA Junkie and other reporters post-fight at DWCS 90. "I'm very happy all my hard work paid off, especially against such a game opponent in Hunter Smith. I wish I could've finished him, but I had to play it smart. He has power in his hands so I played a smart fight. I still had some exciting moments in there. … I'm super happy I'm finally a UFC fighter. I've been wanting to say that for a f*cking long time."

With his place on the roster secure, Livingston isn't bringing a humble approach. He wants something big for his debut, and is calling for a spot on UFC's annual card at Madison Square Garden in New York, which this year is UFC 334 on Nov. 14, and he wants one of the most-tenured names at 155 pounds in King Green (36-17-1 MMA, 17-12-1 UFC), whom, despite a current four-fight winning streak, he doesn't think much of.

"I want to fight big names," Livingston said. "One person I really want to fight is Bobby Green. I think I'd f*ck him up. I think that'd be a great fight to put on at MSG down in New York. I want some big names and get back in there and fight. I'm only young for so long. I want to make some good money and put on awesome fights."

"That guy sucks, honestly. Before this fight I'm like, 'Hunter Smith is a tougher fight than Bobby Green.' He has his hands down and sh*t. I do that sometimes, but he's not a tall, lengthy guy like I am. I'd put his f*cking lights out. He's got to retire soon, so let's pass the torch to a young, hungry guy like me."
