Will Ospreay Drops F-Bomb, Tony Khan Addresses WWE Running Worlds Collide vs. AEW All Out in Chicago

All Elite Wrestling world champion Will Ospreay and president Tony Khan both did a bit of a victory lap with Saturday's All Out show selling out despite nearby competition from WWE.

"I cannot tell you the pride that I feel because people did have a choice," Ospreay said in the post-show media scrum (via WrestlePurists ). "And everyone that came to this show tonight chose the right company because we deliver the best pay-per-views, the best professional wrestling.

"Any time anyone wants to come and step up to us, here's the reality for you. We're gonna knock you down two f--king levels. We are the best pro wrestling in the entire f*cking world. Do not f--king step to us ever again."

WWE's joint show with AAA, Worlds Collide, emanated from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. According to Fightful Select , the promotion went so far as to not broadcast Worlds Collide live in an effort to pull attendees away from All Out.

Fightful Select also reported there was some surprise internally at WWE that All Out's ticket sales were so high.

Khan discussed the story during his portion of the press conference.

"I was kind of surprised they would say that because we've done very well," he said (via WrestlePurists). "AEW's having an incredible year. We were Sports Illustrated 's pro wrestling Promotion of the Year. Why would they be surprised that we sold out? We've sold this arena out many times.

"I think anybody underestimating AEW would be making a mistake."

Nobody would argue which of the two is the bigger promotion between WWE and AEW. The former generates significantly more revenue and has the advantage that comes with operating in a prominent position for generations.

But AEW continues to stand on its own two feet since launching in 2019, and it has absorbed various attempts by WWE to undercut its momentum. Having NXT oppose Dynamite on Wednesday nights was generally a victory for AEW, for example.

To Khan's point, All Out overshadowing Worlds Collide shouldn't have been a surprise.
