Ciryl Gane vs. Josh Hokit Title Fight Announced for UFC 334 amid Jon Jones Rumors

Heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane has his next opponent lined up.

According to Nolan King of MMA Junkie, Gane will face Josh Hokit at UFC 334 on Nov. 14 at New York City's Madison Square Garden. That should put to rest any rumors regarding Jon Jones' potential return from retirement for a heavyweight title fight, at least for the time being.

In the women's division, Kayla Harrison will defend her bantamweight title against Amanda Nunes. That fight will serve as the co-main event.

Gane, 36, became the interim champion after defeating Alex Pereira at UFC Freedom 250. Tom Aspinall had relinquished the title due to ongoing issues with an eye injury. He is now 14-2-1 in his career.

UFC president Dana White previously said the organization decided against making him the undisputed champion, though it was announced Saturday night that he is indeed the undisputed champ.

Now he'll face the 28-year-old Hokit with the title on the line. Hokit is a perfect 10-0 in his MMA career and defeated Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250.
