Andy Williams, who competed in AEW as "The Butcher," died at the age of 48, the company announced.

Per TMZ , authorities said that Williams died after experiencing a medical emergency during a tag team match at the Enjoy Wrestling event in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Enjoy Wrestling released a statement saying the medical staff tended to Williams and administered CPR before the ambulance arrived to transport him to the hospital. The remainder of the event was immediately canceled due to the emergency.

Williams made his AEW debut in 2019 alongside his tag team partner, Braxton Sutter, aka The Blade. The duo remained with the company for seven years until their contracts expired this past June.
