Anthony Wint gets another quick turnaround, fights at UFC 332

Rising UFC heavyweight and former NFL player Anthony Wint is racking up the fights.

Offered a UFC contract on Dana White's Contender Series on Aug. 11, Wint (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) debuted Aug. 22 with a quick win against Terance Chatman. Now, he's set to return at UFC 332 vs. Lucas Armand (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC). The Oct. 3 event takes place at Delta Center in Salt Lake City and airs on CBS.

The promotion announced the news during the Dana White's Contender Series 91 international broadcast Tuesday.

Wint, 30, played two games in the NFL as a linebacker, playing against Tom Brady's Patriots and Aaron Rodgers' Packers . After he signed with the CFL, Wint pivoted away from football and toward fighting upon the advice of then-manager Malki Kawa. He eventually found his way to Kill Cliff FC and racked up wins for Fury FC on the regional scene.

His DWCS appearance lasted 34 seconds as he finished opponent Matt Adams with punches. The UFC debut vs. Chatman lasted a tad longer, with Wint finishing the debuting big man with an arm-triangle choke at 4:34 of Round 1.

Armand, 30, is the heavyweight champion of War at the Wex, a Michigan-based regional promotion. He has five TKO stoppages across his six pro wins.
