Following an action-packed WrestleDream, the October 21 edition of Dynamite from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida promised a massive debut and dramatic fallout.

Ilja Dragunov competed for the first time in an All Elite Wrestling ring against "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Will Ospreay teamed with Adam Copeland against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight.

Queen Aminata and a returning Maya World competed for the next shot at Persephone's TBS Championship. The Young Bucks fought the Don Callis Family's Mark Davis and Jake Doyle in Championship Eliminator action.

For all the results, highlights and live grades from Dynamite, keep scrolling down.

World Tag Team Championships Eliminator: Young Bucks vs. Mark Davis and Jake Doyle

Last Time in Action: Matt and Nick Jackson defeated Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher to retain the World Tag Team Championships (WrestleDream, October 17); Mark Davis and Jake Doyle alongside Wardlow defeated The Death Riders (Dynamite, October 14).

Davis and Doyle went right after The Young Bucks to start the match, dragging them outside and throwing them around.

Doyle Powerbombed Nick through the timekeeper's table. Davis laid into Matt with a trio of Close Your Eyes Piledrivers while Doyle knocked out Nick with a Bearhug. The two then pinned both champions together.

This was a genuinely shocking opener for the usual AEW standard. Typically, AEW uses the opener for a longer action-packed contest to heat up the crowd.

Instead, Davis and Doyle absolutely dominated, taking advantage of the damage Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher did to the champions on Saturday.

The big men of the Don Callis Family needed a big heat-up moment, and this was good as it gets. The Young Bucks have a monumental hill to climb when their titles are on the line.

This also helped continue to sell that Davis is one of the scariest big men in AEW right now for anyone to run into.

While more segment than true match, this was a rousing success in immediately heating up credible threats to the World Tag Team Championships.

Davis and Doyle def. Matt and Nick by pinfall to earn a future World Tag Team Championships match.

On commentary, Callis sold that Davis and Doyle knew The Young Bucks were hurting after WrestleDream, which played out quickly.

Excalibur transitioned to a montage recap for WrestleDream after the match, selling this was earlier than they expected to play the video.

Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland vs. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher

Last Time in Action: Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher lost to The Young Bucks (WrestleDream, October 17). This is the first time Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland have teamed, but they faced off at WrestleDream in the Clockwork Carnage match won by Ospreay.

While Ospreay and Cope worked well together to start, the athleticism of Knight and Fletcher caused problems for the new team.

The Protostar took down The Aerial Assassin with a combination Powerbomb/Dropkick with The Jet into the commercial break.

The Don Callis Family managed to isolated Ospreay through the break, who finally broke his way free with a Springboard Forearm Smash on Knight.

Cope got the hot tag and rolled over Knight with a Pop-Up Facebuster. He teased a Spear, but The Jet rolled outside. Fletcher took out The Rated-R Superstar with a Superkick into a Knight Crossbody for a near-fall.

The Aerial Assassin rallied The Rated-R Superstar, but Fletcher took him out with an Enzuigiri. Kazuchika Okada then arrived to distract Cope and Ospreay.

The Rated-R Superstar caught Fletcher with a Killswitch and a Spear to Knight, but Okada blasted Cope with the International Championship into a Fletcher Brainbuster for the victory.

Afterward, The Don Callis Family attacked Cope and Ospreay until Darby Allin arrived. He revealed that Steven Borden was back, and they stormed the ring with Nick Jackson and weapons to clear out The Family.

Borden then declared he was back and wanted The Family in Blood & Guts.

AEW doubled down on the dangers of The Callis Family, giving them another big victory. This was less definitive but nonetheless effective in selling that this group could beat anyone right now.

Cope and Ospreay did not show much chemistry, but that made sense given their unfamiliarity with one another. It was the right choice for the experienced team to win.

The Blood & Guts match will be good, but AEW definitely had better built feuds for the cage. Instead, it looks like the goal is to get big names in the cage, particularly Ospreay and Cope.

Borden and Allin have the most personal reason to fight The Family, and hopefully they will be the emotional focus of the build.

Fletcher and Knight def. Cope and Ospreay by pinfall.

Cope made clear to Callis, who remained on commentary, that he hated him.

Okada hid from the referee after bloodying Cope but immediately popped into the ring once the bell rang to keep attacking.

Callis gave the Men's World Championship to Fletcher, teasing he could be the next challenger for The Aerial Assassin.

Borden coming back from injury right into Blood & Guts is a good sign that he is back fully healthy... or just crazy.

Last Time in Action: Swerve Strickland alongside New Level lost to The Good, The Bad, and El Guapo (WrestleDream, October 17); Tome Philip alongside Gino Medina and Nic Nolan lost to The Don Callis Family (Collision, July 18).

Swerve came in angry and took out Filip with a House Call and Vertebreaker for a quick victory.

Not much to say for this one as it was just a stat padder for The Mogul. He sold his anger and annoyance about WrestleDream and leaves with a win.

Since there was no follow-up yet with Kofi and Austin Creed, it is unclear if this means Swerve is going back to singles action fully just yet.

Swerve barely got his jacket off for the match, and Prince Nana helped him put it right back on afterward.

Orange Cassidy and "Switchblade" Jay White vs. Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta

Last Time in Action: Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta alongside The Death Riders and The Dogs defeated Orange Cassidy and "Switchblade" Jay White alongside The Conglomeration and The Bang Bang Gang (WrestleDream: Tailgate Brawl, October 17).

Switchblade was a focused determined killer in the ring against Garcia and Yuta while Cassidy found a harder time early to deal with the technical offense of The Death Riders.

Yuta managed to trap Cassidy in the ring apron then take out White with a Tope Suicida into the commercial break.

Garcia caught White in the Dragon Tamer, but Cassidy made the save. Switchblade almost laid out Yuta with the Blade Runner, only for Garcia to save him.

Freshly Squeezed and Switchblade combined for an Orange Punch into a Switchblade on Yuta to seal the victory.

Four talented men competed in a fine tag match that would have fit more naturally on Collision, but AEW might be a bit low on top names following a physical WrestleDream.

It never felt like Garcia and Yuta had a chance to win despite holding a victory from the Tailgate Brawl.

The big positive was to see Switchblade worked fast and physical after his recent injury. Hopefully this is a sign that he is back to full pace.

White and Cassidy def. Garcia and Yuta by pinfall.

Excalibur announced both world tag title matches for Full Gear were official: The Brawling Birds vs. Wrathlander and The Young Bucks vs. Davis and Doyle.

Backstage, Swerve Strickland interrupted an interview with World trios champions Hangman Adam Page, Brody King, and Bandido to ask for his rematch with New Day. Hangman agreed, but Swerve wanted Texas Death. Hangman declined.

Marina Shafir Challenges Mercedes Moné/Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley vs. Roderick Strong

Last Time in Action: Jon Moxley defeated Mark Davis to retain the Continental Championship; Roderick Strong lost alongside The Conglomeration and Bang Bang Gang to The Death Riders and The Dogs (WrestleDream, October 17).

Mercedes Moné quickly ushered Renee Paquette out of the ring during her scheduled in-ring interview and questioned who was next to fight her.

Mox's music hit as Marina Shafir marched to the ring and questioned if The CEO was scared. The champion backed down as Strong headed to the ring for his Continental Championship Eliminator.

Mox started slow against Strong, who came at him aggressively. He sent him back first into the apron to send the match to commercial break.

The strikes to the gut and back of the Continental champion continued, but Mox began to fire back with Clotheslines and punches.

Mox tripped up Strong into a Rear Naked Choke, and Strong realized he couldn't escape and tapped out.

Afterward, David Finlay and Clark Connors attacked Strong until Mox told them to back off. The Dogs turned on Mox, beating him down. They took out Gabe Kidd when he tried to stop them.

When The Death Riders and The Conglomeration arrived, White shockingly laid out Orange Cassidy. The Bang Bang Gang and Dogs worked together and laid out everyone.

Moné vs. Shafir is an intriguing match as this is the biggest opportunity The Problem has had in her wrestling career.

The two looked great together last month in trios action, and The CEO has shown she elevates everyone in the ring. However, it will be a unique physical battle for Moné, especially if they get time at Full Gear.

Mox vs. Strong was a decent match, though the Continental champion heavily sold how worn down he was, leading to a slow battle throughout.

The result did not make The Messiah of the Backbreaker look all that dangerous, but it did seem to further fuel his frustration, which could let him eventually turn heel and heat back up.

That said, the heel turn of the night was White. The tag match from earlier looks even less necessary after this, but this was an incredible post-match angle.

The Dogs vs. Bang Bang Gang feud was losing steam, and this immediately gave it a fresh path forward. This unofficial Bullet Club reunion might be exactly what everyone needed.

Switchblade as the heel leader of a dangerous stable including multiple men playing heel for the first time in AEW is intriguing.

Finlay and Connors falling in line with White is the biggest question left to answer, but it is definitely better than them playing nice with Mox, who was already leaning face as it was.

This should allow The Death Riders to play full faces going forward. The fans want to cheer them, so there was no reason to hold back on this any longer.

The main fault with all this is that AEW announced Blood & Guts only to deliver a far more interesting stable warfare battle 30 minutes later that would have fit the cage better.

B (for the potential of Moné vs. Shafir)/C+ (for the match)/A+ (for the post-match)

Moné went off on Strong as he headed to the ring. One would assume she told him to handle his wife.

Mox caught Strong with a Cutter off a Jumping Knee attempt that almost looked RKO-esque with the fluidity.

Claudio Castagnoli looked like he was almost going to take down The Bang Bang Gang and Dogs all on his own, but the numbers game eventually became too much.

Switchblade mostly stayed out of the action but made a point to lay out Cassidy to start and Mox to finish it.

Jericho Apologizes to Nick Wayne and Tells Him He Can Be Great

Nick Wayne sauntered to the ring and mocked Jericho, calling out his double win for Y2J with many pyro explosions.

He questioned if Jericho would even show up, only to be interrupted by massive pyro as Y2J arrived.

After some annoying goading by Wayne, Jericho did apologize to The Prodigy. While he called Wayne a douchebag, he also admitted that Wayne could be one of the all-time greats.

This feels like a segment that Jericho wanted to be an all-time great moment for Wayne. Instead, it was an imperfect segment that was good enough for what it was trying to accomplish.

The Prodigy played his role well, emulating a young Jericho to the point of being actively annoying.

It was Jericho that did not quite land with his over-the-top yelling to sell that he cared about where Wayne's career could go.

Still, at the end of all this, The Prodigy is more of a star than he has ever been, and AEW did not force another match out of this feud. That is a win.

Wayne arrived to the arena in a white limo and unveiled his new shirt declaring his victory over Jericho.

As good as The Prodigy's pyro bit is, it might be too much of a crowd pleaser for a man that is going to run as a heel for a while. The crowd kept calling for more.

No. 1 Contender for TBS Championship: Maya World vs. Queen Aminata

Last Time in Action: Queen Aminata as well as Hyan and Dani Luna lost to Persephone for the TBS Championship (WrestleDream, October 17); Maya World alongside Hyan and Thunder Rose lost to Persephone, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD and Hikaru Shida (Dynamite, September 9).

This match started physical as both threw knees early. Aminata nearly caught Maya with a strong knee strike to win before the commercial break.

Back from break, Maya fired back, and the two exchanged pin attempts. Aminata tried to hit Off with Her Head, but Maya rolled outside.

Aminata set her up on a steel chair and blasted her with a vicious Missile Dropkick.

Back in the ring, The Queen knocked down Maya with the Queen's Crown followed by Off With Her Head for the victory.

Afterward, Persephone and Baker threatened Aminata, but Maya and Hyan backed up the new No. 1 contender.

This was the best match of the night up to this point as both women hit hard and moved fast to keep this crowd fully invested in this contender action.

Maya and Aminata have chemistry to spare that played well to the fans. Maya looked good in her return, but it was especially clear that Aminata was working on a higher level for a big opportunity.

Of all the challengers Persephone has had so far, this feels the most like a potential title change is in order.

It makes little sense that Aminata has never held gold in AEW, and this would be a great time to change that.

Aminata def. World by pinfall to earn a TBS Championship match next week on Fright Night Dynamite.

Persephone and Baker joined commentary to question why the TBS champion needed to face either woman she has already beaten.

While both are technically faces, Aminata took the aggressor role in this one, leaning heel.

Divine Dominion and The Triangle of Madness attacked The Brawling Birds and Wrathlander backstage, likely setting up a women's Blood and Guts match.

Ilja Dragunov vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey

Last Time in Action: "Speedball" Mike Bailey fell short in the Clockwork Carnage match, won by Will Ospreay (WrestleDream, October 17). This was the debut of Ilja Dragunov in AEW whose last match before this was a loss in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (SmackDown, April 17).

Speedball tried to avoid the aggressive offense of Dragunov early, taking a few physical chops but catching him with a Moonsault to the floor.

The Mad Dragon ducked a kick of Bailey that send his foot into the steel steps and followed up with a German Suplex on the floor into the final commercial break.

The two kept delivering vicious shots including a strong Senton by Dragunov and a Double Knee Drop from Speedball to Dragunov on the apron.

Bailey blocked a D-Bomb attempt with a kick and tied up his limbs in a tied straitjacket pin for a near-fall.

Speedball caught Dragunov with Time Adventure, but Dragunov tripped him off the top rope. He followed up with a Powerbomb into a D-Bomb to the leg followed by a D-Bomb to the head for the victory.

As an introduction for Dragunov to a fresh audience, this could not have gone better.

He and Speedball looked great together, and they built the physicality over the course of the match rather than going overboard early.

While it was a strike exchange, the focus of both men was heavily technical. The Mad Dragon was wearing down Speedball by going after his legs throughout.

The way both men hit each other and laid in their submission attempts looked consistently painful. They wanted this to feel as real as it could.

On a night where the action was less than AEW's best overall, Dragunov put on the most AEW-coded performance of anyone, selling why he is a perfect fit in this new environment.

While AEW sometimes has new stars come in and lose, Dragunov should look like a top threat immediately on this roster and should be treated that way.

Let Dragunov stay undefeated until the Continental Classic where he could be a real threat to win it all.

The crowd immediately knew the assignment in cheering on Dragunov as well as plenty of dueling chants for both men.

Backstage, The Don Callis Family officially accepted the challenge for Blood & Guts while promising The Family were coming for all the gold.

Samoa Joe promised he was still going back for the world title. "Jungle" Jack Perry challenged him to a rematch. Joe promised to eventually accept.

AEW aired a hype video for the FTR vs. Motor City Machine Guns Best of 5 series, announcing the next two matches for Collision then Fright Night Dynamite.

Excalibur also confirmed Swerve Strickland would be back in action on Collision against Myron Reed.

This was one of the weaker Dynamites in a while in terms of pure in-ring action, but it was one of the most eventful in terms of story build.

While it feels like the build to Blood & Guts and Full Gear could use a bit more time, AEW made the most of this show to sell some big matches to come.

This was a pure hype show from The Don Callis Family's emphatic destruction of their rivals to The Bang Bang Gang heel turn to Ilja Dragunov's memorable debut.

The way this played out, it feels clear that the company has a strong plan building for the next month, and the talent are behind building those stories.

Even with a limited roster coming off WrestleDream, this show sold that the road to Full Gear is going to be a can't-miss spectacle.
