Dalton Smith vs. Alberto Puello Live Updates, Highlights and Results

An unbeaten British hero takes his first championship-level star turn in front of adoring fans on Saturday when Dalton Smith defends his WBC 140-pound title against veteran Alberto Puello at the Utilita Arena in Smith's Sheffield, England hometown.

Their scheduled 12-rounder tops a three-bout Matchroom Boxing card that'll be streamed live on DAZN beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

Dalton Smith v Alberto Puello, 12 rounds, super lightweight

Giorgio Visioli v Maxi Hughes, 10 rounds, lightweight

Shannon Ryan v Emma Dolan, 10 rounds, super flyweight

Smith, 28, captured his belt with a fifth-round KO of then-champ Subriel Matias at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in January. He's 19-0 as a pro with 14 KO wins.

Puello, 32, briefly held the same title Smith now claims but lost it to Matias by majority decision in New York City in July 2025. He's fought once since, in July, and beat his opponent by fourth-round KO in the Dominican Republic.
