UFC news: Alex Pereira robbery caught in hilarious video

Months after his loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC Freedom 250 , Alex Pereira was a victim of robbery, but not in some way one would have expected. Pereira has been consistently mocking Gane following the latest major change at the top of the UFC heavyweight division.

Gane has been promoted to undisputed heavyweight champion after Tom Aspinall vacated the title due to the eye injury he suffered against the Frenchman at UFC 321. Ahead of Gane's first defence against Josh Hokit at UFC 334 in New York on Nov. 14, 2026, he has been on the receiving end of mockery from Pereira.

However, Pereira's fate played a game on him when he became a victim of a few monkeys robbing him. A video is now going viral on social media that shows a troop of monkeys swarming Pereira's residence and stealing a bag of food from him.

The video going viral shows Pereira going to his balcony when a mischievous monkey enters his place and successfully steals a bag of food before escaping. The video soon became a topic of conversation on the internet as fans swarmed in to address the daylight crime.

"That's what happens when you lose your aura by whining about a loss. Even the monkeys lose respect for you," wrote one fan while referring to Pereira's constant comments regarding Gane's title promotion. "Monkeys are smart, they set this up," wrote another person. Another fan commented, "Alex can Knockout monkey."

Still dealing with his loss against Gane at UFC Freedom 250, Pereira has not yet officially commented on his next UFC fight.
