LaMelo Ball Guides Wolves in Win vs. Rockets, Box Score Stats, Highlights for Durant and Top Players

The Minnesota Timberwolves may be without star guard Anthony Edwards, but that didn't stop them from handing the Houston Rockets their second loss of the season.

LaMelo Ball shook off early miscues to lead the Wolves past Kevin Durant and the Rockets, 117-107.

The Timberwolves could be without Edwards until at least December, as the star recovers from knee surgery . The absence of an MVP-caliber player like Edwards makes getting off to a strong start quite difficult, and Minnesota will need all the help it can get.

The brunt of the offense will be on Ball, and he struggled for much of the game before finally getting things going in the fourth. Ayo Dosunmu and Bones Hyland did a good job carrying some of the weight on offense, while Ball worked through his early woes.

Durant has had a bit of a slow start to the season by his standards, but he managed to string together a solid performance despite the loss. Meanwhile, Alpereun Sengun posted a triple-double.

The Timberwolves improved to 6-3 with the win, while the Rockets dropped to 7-2, though they still own the best record in the West.
