Boston Celtics fans will be over the moon if Gilbert Arenas turns out to be correct.

On the latest episode of " Gil's Arena ," the three-time All-Star discussed Paul George 's fit in Boston with former NBA players DeMarcus Cousins , Evan Turner , Brendan Haywood and Iman Shumpert .

It didn't take long for the discussion to turn into a debate about how George compares to Jaylen Brown , and Arenas turned up the heat with a scorching take.

"Offensively, they will be better," Arenas said about the Celtics . "[George] is a natural scorer."

Arenas then doubled down, leaving his co-hosts stunned.

"Offensively, Paul George's game on a 5-out? What did he do when he came back from the 25-game suspension? The sh— he is taking accidentally makes him about 25 again."

Arenas was referring to the 25-game suspension George served last season for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.

After returning from his suspension, George averaged 21.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.2 steals over his final 10 games of the regular season. He then played a key role in Philadelphia 's first-round series win over the Celtics in the playoffs.

It's quite the take from Arenas considering Brown averaged 28.7 points per game last season. Boston was also a very good offensive team the last two seasons, finishing second in the NBA in offensive rating in both 2024-25 and 2025-26 .

What "better" looks like is unclear, but there's no doubt Arenas expects big things from George in Boston.
