Ex-LSU star Flau'Jae Johnson sets Seattle Storm franchise records
Former LSU women's basketball forward Flau'Jae Johnson etched her name in the Seattle Storm record books.
Flau'Jae Johnson continues to shine in her first WNBA season. The former LSU women's basketball star made history for the Seattle Storm , becoming the first rookie in franchise history to score 500 points and make 50 three-pointers in a single season.
Johnson surpassed the mark by scoring 20 points against the Toronto Tempo . She shot 60% from the field while adding three rebounds and two assists. She has started all 39 games she appeared in for the Storm, averaging 14.3 points per game on 40% shooting.
Johnson's All-Rookie campaign looks bright. Her points per game, 559 total points, 51 total steals, and 28 total blocks all rank second among 2026 rookies. Former Notre Dame guard and current Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles is the frontrunner for that award.
The Golden State Valkyries selected Johnson with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, but they traded her to the Storm later in the draft. She played four seasons at LSU under head coach Kim Mulkey.
