Why Warriors fans are freaking out over a 21-second Stephen Curry video

Stephen Curry remains one of the biggest NBA offseason stories yet to be resolved. The Golden State Warriors have already reached out with an extension and a full roster so he can decide, but he still hasn't chosen. Adding injury rumors makes this situation even more peculiar as the summer goes on. The fact that a video of him in Beijing for the Li-Ning Wide Open Tour is circulating hasn't helped at all. In fact, it has made speculations spread like wildfire.

Warrior' Curry sends NBA fans into injury speculation spiral amid limp

Li-Ning has brought Stephen Curry to China. He will be in the country from September 9 to 14, planning to tour major areas like Beijing, Dongguan, and Shenzhen. The Warriors star will also stop in Hong Kong during the Wide Open Tour after not being there in a little over a decade. Unexpectedly, NBA fans are excited to see the legendary sharpshooter in their areas. However, there is one big drawback.

Curry was just seen in Beijing. Everything would be fine for the Warriors and NBA fans, but the legend was limping a bit.

A whole lot of speculation has been thrown around, especially ones that posit that he could be injured.

"Father time about to claim another one. The walk shows the joint mileage," an NBA fan declared.

Another took the path of better wisdom, "This is quite normal. That age is kicking in. Everyone knows how that first step goes after you get up from sitting down have long periods of time. Those joints got tons of mileage…"

"He's going in for a workout if he was cooked he ain't working out. It's in the morning with no stretching. Thats what athletes look like

overacting for no reason," another Warriors fan added .

There is no official report from Li-Ning, the Warriors, and Curry's camp to sufficiently say that this is the case. He was suffering runner's knee for a bit throughout the 2025-26 NBA season but that got resolved.

All of this could either just be pains from a recent intense workout or just the numbing pain of what could be a really long car ride. In either scenario, there is not much cause for worry when it comes to Curry. Well, aside from not yet signing a possible two-year $136.7 million deal with the Warriors.
